DALLAS, Texas - Oregon Tech seniors
Tyler Horner and
Patrick Barry were honored as members of the College Sports Communicators NAIA Academic All-District Baseball Team, announced by the CSC office.
To earn the honor, a student-athlete must be a sophomore in academic standing, have a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA, play in at least 90% of games and be a starter or key reserve. Both Horner and Barry were selected to move on to the ballot of the Academic All-America Team.
Horner and Barry earned All-Cascade Conference honors on the diamond, with Horner selected as a second-team All-American. Both players were previously named to the CCC All-Academic Team and NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Last year, Horner was named CSC's NAIA Academic All-American of the Year in baseball, earning first-team Academic All-America honors.
