Quincy Beyrouty sits two strokes off the pace, as the Oregon Tech women's golf team competed on Day 1 of the Southern Oregon Spring Classic at Stone Ridge Golf Course.
The Lady Owls closed Round 1 with a team score of 312 – trailing No. 1-ranked British Columbia (294) by 18 strokes – but Tech holds a 14-stroke lead on third-place Southern Oregon (326). LC State sits in fourth (328) with 18 holes to play.
Beyrouty shot a first-round 2-over-par 74 on the rainy morning, part of a 4-way tie for third place. UBC's Sienna Harder is the leader in the clubhouse after carding a 72, with teammate Elizabeth Labbe a shot back after shooting a 1-over-par 73.
Each of OIT's five scoring golfers are in the Top-20 of the 43-player field after Round 1.
Madison Dick is in eighth after shooting a Day 1 77,
Sydney Dick (79) is in 11th-place,
Madie Hepner (82) is in a tie for 15th, with
Navy Wood (83) in 18th. Playing as an individual,
Baylee Hodgman carded an 87.
The final round is set for a Tuesday shotgun start at 8 a.m.
