OPPONENT PREVIEW – CARROLL: OIT earned the No. 7 seed in the tournament, earning a match-up against No. 2-seed Carroll College. The Fighting Saints (12-2-2) are a formidable side, outscoring teams 35-9 – with their lone losses coming in 3-2 decisions to Aquinas and Benedictine Mesa. Carroll has allowed just six goals in league play and have recorded 5-straight shutouts, thanks to keeper Juan Muniz Navarrete (0.61 GAA, 37 saves). Offensively, All-CCC picks Felix Billard (8 goals, 4 assists) and Alfie Snow (7 goals) are back, with Sam Laughton (5 goals, 2 assists), Nils Benning (4 goals, 3 assists) and Pedro Teixeira (4 goals, 3 assists) key to the success.

FIRST MEETING: The two teams met in early October, with Carroll earning a dominating 2-0 victory in Montana. The Saints scored three minutes into the match on an Alfie Snow 25-yard blast, adding a second goal in the 27th minute on Joseph Satterthwaite finish. OIT did not have a shot on frame, with Carroll finishing with a 16-5 edge in total shots.

HISTORY VS. CARROLL: Tech and Carroll have met 12 previous times, with the Fighting Saints holding a 6-4-2 series edge, with three of the wins in Helena, Mont. It marks the third-straight year the teams have played in the CCC Championships – with OIT winning a 3-1 overtime game in the 2023 first-round, while Carroll topped the Owls, 2-1, in last season's semifinals.

A LOOK AT THE BRACKET: Top-seed Eastern Oregon claimed their first-ever regular-season title, earning the CCC's first automatic bid to Nationals – entering the tournament with a 13-0-4 record. EOU has allowed just 10 goals season, while the offense is led by Marcos Bravo (10 goals). They meet No. 8-seed Bushnell, who opened the season 7-0, but despite a great year from Omar Barajas (11 goals, 6 assists), are just 3-6-2 over their last 11 games. The No. 3-6 match-up features the top-scoring offense in the league, Rocky Mountain, against Southern Oregon. Rocky is on an 11-match unbeaten streak (7-1-7 overall record) – led by forward David Russell (13 goals) – while SOU is 2-4-3 over their last nine games after a great start, but have a standout midfielder Irwin Leon (9 goals, 3 assists). Two hot teams – Warner Pacific and College of Idaho round out the field – as WP is 6-1-2 over their last nine games and C of I takes a 7-match unbeaten streak into the event. Bodo Calderon (12 goals) is the key to the WP attack, while Keidin Green (12 goals) leads the Yotes.

POSTSEASON HISTORY: With Friday's win over Walla Walla, the Owls clinched their ninth-straight postseason appearance, including NAIA National Tournament appearances in 2021 and 2022. Tech has reached the CCC Tournament semifinals 4-straight years – winning the crown in 2021, losing the championship game in overtime in 2022, while reaching the semis in 2023 and 2024. OIT has a 6-6-2 all-time record at the CCC Championships and a 6-7-3 all-time postseason record.

OWLS COMPLETE UNBEATEN SEASON AT HOME: With the draw on Oct. 25 vs. Corban, the Hustlin' Owls completed an unbeaten season in the Basin, finishing 4-0-2, extending a home unbeaten streak to seven. Since the OIT Soccer Field was transitioned from natural grass to an artificial turf surface in 2017, the Owls have posted a 44-12-8 record on their own pitch. Since 2020, Tech has dominated foes, recording a 35-7-7 home record.

GOAL EQUAL POSITIVE RESULTS: Scoring goals has been crucial to the Owls success in 2025, as Tech is unbeaten when scoring at least one goal in a match. When posting a goal (or more), OIT is 7-0-4 on the year, while when they have been shutout, the team is 0-5-1.

DRAW RECORD: With the 1-1 draw vs. Corban on Oct. 25, OIT established a new single-season record for ties with five – as the team enters the tournament with a 7-5-5 overall mark. Prior to 2025, the Owls recorded four draws in a season twice – in 2019 and 2022.

LATE GOAL EARNS WIN AT WALLA WALLA: Needing a win to clinch a playoff spot, Tech was locked in a scoreless draw at Walla Walla – but Merrick Tambio would not let the Owls squander the chance. The sophomore slotted home a header from Cash Cota inside the final 10 minutes for the lone goal of the day, earning OIT three points and the playoff spot.

HUNT SET TO BREAK SCHOOL RECORD: During his four-year career at Tech, defender Cooper Hunt has started every match he has played in – 72 consecutive starts. Saturday's match-up vs. Carroll will allow the senior to break the OIT all-time starts record, first set by Joey Driessen from 2016-19. Hunt is one of five players in program history to play in 72-or-more games.

WINNING SEASONS: With the Owls win Friday at Walla Walla, OIT clinched their seventh-straight winning season and the eighth all-time campaign with a record above the .500 mark. From 2008-18, Tech had just one winning season.
