Tech Drops 1-0 Decision at Warner Pacific

PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific converted off a corner kick in the 76th minute for the lone goal in the match, as the Knights topped Oregon Tech, 1-0, in the final regular-season men's soccer match for both teams at Eastside Timbers Complex.

Bodo Calderon played the corner to the back post, where a Damian Palominos header was blocked, but Wicho Gonzalez touched home the rebound for the game-winner for the host Knights (11-4-2, 7-3-2 CCC).

The Hustlin' Owls (7-5-5, 5-5-2) had their best chance in the 73rd minute, as off a counterattack, a header from Dalton Rideout was stopped by WPU keeper Owen Purvis.

WPU finished the day with an 11-5 edge in shots and a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.

The loss drops OIT into the No. 7 slot in the Cascade Conference Championships at Lithia & Driveway Fields in Medford – with the Hustlin' Owls set to meet Carroll College on Saturday at 4 p.m.
