LA GRANDE, Ore. – Top-ranked Eastern Oregon completed a season sweep of Oregon Tech, claiming a 25-16, 25-14, 25-18 victory at Quinn Coliseum.
The Mountaineers (22-1, 14-1 CCC) used a 46-22 edge in kills and a 9-1 lead in blocks to earn the straight-set win.
EOU scored 5-straight points in Set 1 to take a 14-8 and ran to the win, while Kiauna Mack had two kills in a 5-0 run to erase a 11-10 Lady Owls (10-12, 4-11) lead in Set 2, while in Set 3, Tech was within 20-18 late, before a 5-point run ended the match.
Savanna Sterck had five kills and
Willow Jacobson recorded four kills in the loss for the Owls, with
Lucy Boyd ending the night with 12 assists and five digs.
Keira Vaughn led EOU with 13 kills, Brooke Womack had 10 kills and Mack had nine kills for EOU.
Tech closes out the road trip tomorrow, traveling to No. 19 College of Idaho.
