OPPONENT PREVIEW – EASTERN OREGON: The road trip starts in La Grande, as the Lady Owls get a second crack at the No. 1-ranked team in the NAIA. Eastern (21-1, 13-1 CCC) had a 20-match win streak snapped a week ago at Corban – but the Mountaineers rebounded with a 3-set sweep at Bushnell. EOU leads the league in kills per set (14.3), hitting percentage (.274) and blocks per set (2.67), while opponents hit at a paltry .107 clip. Middle Kiauna Mack (3.04 k/s, 1.68 b/s) is in the conversation for CCC Player of the Year, leading an attack alongside Keira Vaughn (3.36 k/s, 0.53 b/s), Brooke Womack (2.53 k/s, 3.19 d/s) nd McKenzie Jones (2.13 k/s, 0.72 b/s). Setters Kate Stidham (7.21 a/s, 1.90 d/s) and Ava Semprimoznik (4.66 a/s, 1.49 d/s) run the offense, with libero Jaycee Villastrigo (3.64 d/s) the top defender. EOU holds a 31-26 series lead, with Tech taking the Mounties to 5-sets in a tough September loss in Klamath.

OPPONENT PREVIEW – COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Tech heads to the Treasure Valley, looking to stop a 5-match losing streak to C of I, facing a Yotes (13-8, 7-7) team ranked No. 19 in the NAIA. The Idaho side is among the top defensive teams in the league – holding foes to a .116 hitting clip and converting 2.33 blocks a set. The trio of Mia Hutchinson (3.11 k/s, 1.27 d/s), Brooke Garman (2.28 k/s, 0.48 b/s) and Cierra Bohrn (2.15 k/s, 0.74 b/s) are the top offensive options, setter Shaynee McWilliams (7.66 a/s, 2.03 d/s) runs a one-setter offense, with Liza Montalbo (3.44 d/s) serving as the libero. The Coyotes hold a 50-13 series edge, including a 3-set sweep of Tech in September.

RANKED TEAMS AND MORE RANKED TEAMS: The grueling Cascade Conference schedule continues for the Lady Owls, with Tech closing the regular-season with five of their final six matches against Top-25 opponents. OIT is 0-6 this year against Top-25 teams and 2-4 against teams receiving votes in the poll. Â The Owls are looking to snap a 25-match losing streak against Top-25 teams.

AGAINST #1: Saturday will mark the tenth time an OIT team has played the No. 1-ranked team in the NAIA and the fifth time they've faced EOU as the top-ranked team. The Lady Owls are 1-8 all-time against the top team in the NAIA – defeating Fresno Pacific in five sets during the 2011 season.

NEARLY A SWEEP: The Owls closed out their homestand with two outstanding efforts – a gritty 5-set loss to rival Southern Oregon and a dominating 3-set win over Warner Pacific. Against SOU, the Owls forced a fifth set with a convincing fourth set win and were tied 9-9 in the final frame, before a Raider run broke it open. Against WP, Tech dominated, holding a 41-21 edge in kills, while hitting at a .344 clip.

STERCK HAS CAREER WEEKEND: Tech rode the hot hand of
Savanna Sterck in the two matches, with the senior combining for 34 kills on the week. The outside hitter recorded a career-best 25 kills vs. SOU – becoming the sixth OIT player to record 25-or-more kills in a match – moving 17 kills away from 800 for her career.

BOYD JOINS ELITE CLUB: In the loss to SOU, setter
Lucy Boyd became the first player in program history to post 60 assists and 20 digs in a match – hitting the marks on the dot. For the sophomore, the 60 assists were a career high and the first time an OIT player recorded 60-or-more assists in a match since 2015 (Waverly Green), with Boyd becoming the fourth Tech player with 60-or-more assists in a contest.

SORENSEN CONTINUES STREAK: Libero
Abigail Sorensen extended a streak of double-digit dig matches to 13 with 38 combined digs in the two contests. The senior, who leads the CCC in digs per set sits 40 digs away from becoming the 11th player in OIT history to post 1,000 career digs.

AROUND THE CCC: Four teams had perfect weekends to close out Week 7 of the CCC schedule – as Corban earned two huge wins over EOU and C of I, both Walla Walla and LC State swept Northwest and Evergreen State, with Southern Oregon topping Warner Pacific and OIT. This week, along with SOU and OIT heading to EOU and C of I, LC State and Walla Walla are off to Warner Pacific (WWU earned a 3-set win over LC on Tuesday), with Bushnell and Corban traveling to Evergreen and Northwest.
