KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. –
Savanna Sterck had nine kills and
Alison Miller posted a career-high five aces, as Oregon Tech closed out a long homestand with a 25-12, 25-11, 25-15 victory over Warner Pacific at Danny Miles Court.
The Lady Owls (10-11, 4-10 CCC) finished the night with a .344 attack percentage and added 10 aces in completing the season sweep of the winless Knights.
WPU (0-14, 0-13) had a 1-0 lead in each of the three sets – but OIT posted long runs to take command of each period.
Tech used a 12-3 run, keyed by three kills and a block from
Willow Jacobson to grab the edge in Set 1. Set 2 was led by Miller, who had back-to-back aces in a 14-5 surge, adding a third ace to extend the lead to 22-9. In Set 3, Sterck had three kills in a 13-4 run that broke the frame open.
Alexa Gugliotta,
Aleksen Thayer and Lacy Holyman – making her collegiate debut – each had six kills for OIT in the win.
Lucy Boyd added 21 assists and seven digs, with
Abigail Sorensen leading all players with 16 digs.
Jahnay Jardine led the Knights with six kills, as WPU finished the evening with 21 kills and 20 attack errors.
OIT hits the road next weekend, traveling to Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho.
