CORVALLIS, Ore. – A record-setting number of scholar-athletes headlined the Oregon Tech contingent on the 2024-25 Cascade Conference Winter Sports All-Academic Team, announced by the league office.
The two OIT basketball teams combined for 24 players among the 261 honored for being at least a sophomore in academic standing while maintaining at 3.20 or greater grade point average – including all five starters on both squads.
The Hustlin' Owls established a new league mark with 12 players on the list – no other CCC men's basketball team have ever posted more than nine players on the Academic All-CCC list.
The Lady Owls recorded a new school-record with 12 recipients – with every junior and senior on the team receiving the accolade. It was the fourth highest total ever by a CCC women's basketball team, trailing only 2014-15 and 2023-24 Corban teams that recorded 13 award winners and Northwest recorded 15 Academic All-CCC picks last year.
