PORTLAND, Ore. – Freshman
Brooke Anderson scored a career-high 14 points, helping Oregon Tech run their road win streak to 7-in-a-row, a wire-to-wire 94-58 victory over Warner Pacific inside C.C. Perry Gymnasium.
The Lady Owls (11-3, 7-1 CCC) ran their overall win streak to five, converting 54% of their field goals on the night, while finishing with a dominant 45-29 edge on the glass.
Anderson scored 8-straght points in a second quarter 12-1 run, capped by a
Tatum Schmerbach lay-up, giving Tech a 31-13 lead. OIT would close the quarter on a 13-2 run – as Anderson hit a jumper to start the flurry, with 3-pointers from
Maddyson Tull and
Alexis Elquist giving the visitors a 50-24 lead at the half.
Jozie Ramos took over in the third quarter scoring six of her 13 points in the period, extending the margin to 72-41 – with the Owls allowing all 15 players on their active roster to see game action.
Schmerbach scored 12 points with six rebounds and Tull came off the bench to add nine points and six boards.
The Knights (6-9, 3-6) got 14 points from McKeeley Tonkin and 12 points from forward Alexa Mee, but turned the ball over 21 times, which the Lady Owls turned into 33 points.
