PORTLAND, Ore. – Oregon Tech recorded their most prolific shooting night in 44 years, as the Lady Owls won their eighth-straight road game, cruising to a 97-58 win at Multnomah.
OIT (12-3, 8-1 CCC) converted 65% of their field goals in the win, the highest field goal percentage since the program was reinstated in 2002. Only the 1981-82 team had a better effort, making 65.8% of their shots in a win at then Western Baptist.
"We knew that if we were patient on the offensive end we could get great looks," said head coach
Joy Lease. "Our posts did an outstanding job distributing the ball and we converted open shots."
Tech used a 12-0 run in the first quarter to take command, getting consecutive baskets from
Maddyson Tull and a pair of buckets from
Gabbie Gascon in the surge. Leading 27-19 in the second quarter, the Owls rattled off 13-straight points, getting a pair of baskets from both
Alexis Elquist and

Tatum Schmerbach lay-up extending the margin to 40-19. OIT finished the half making 23-of-32 field goals.
Leading 52-33 at the break, the Lady Owls scored the first 11 points of the second half and added a 20-6 run in the fourth quarter to stretch the lead to 40.
