Lady Owls End Losing Streak, Roll Past Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Oregon Tech used a dominant performance in the blocking and service game to snap a 6-match losing streak, rolling past Walla Walla 26-24, 25-17, 25-8 at Walla Walla Community College.

The Lady Owls (8-7, 1-6 CCC) held a commanding 9-1 edge in total blocks and a 7-1 edge in the ace column to remain unbeaten all-time vs. the Wolves.

Tech led the majority of Set 1, but the Wolves (6-4, 5-3) fought off three set points to pull even at 24-24. The Owls answered with back-to-back kills from Molly Grace and Kate Hicks to claim the set win.

Set 2 and Set 3 were all OIT, as the Owls used runs of 5-0 and 7-1 to pull away in Set 2, while Tech dominated Set 3, jumping to a 10-3 lead and were never threatened.

Grace had 11 kills, 11 digs and five blocks, with Savanna Sterck adding nine. Tiana Barrett recorded a career-high seven kills and three blocks, with Lucy Boyd recording 27 assists, five digs and three blocks.
