All proceeds from the event go to supporting the outstanding student-athletes at Oregon Tech. This past year was a banner for the department, as the Owls won the Presidents Cup for Academic Achievement for the third-straight year. The department hosted both the Cascade Conference Softball and Track Championships, both basketball teams advanced to the second-round of the NAIA Championships, the baseball team set a new school record for wins in a season, with the softball team winning the CCC title and placing fourth at the NAIA World Series.
The format for the Golf Challenge is a 4-person scramble with numerous opportunities to win great prizes - through on the course competitions, as well as a bucket raffle. The tournament will also feature a hole-in-one contest for a new car from Lithia.
The cost per individual is $175, with foursomes set for $700. Each golfer will receive an Oregon Tech hat, towel, ball marker, entry into the raffle and lunch provided on the course. In addition, sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and individuals.
Sign-in and warm-up begin at 9 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
"Lithia Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge & Ram and Klamath Falls Toyota, as well as all of the community sponsors, make it possible for our department to run a first-class program," said men's basketball coach and tournament director,
Justin Parnell.
