KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech made 50-percent of their field goals for a fifth-straight game, riding six players in double figures to a 94-67 victory over Evergreen State at Danny Miles Court.
The No. 23-ranked Hustlin' Owls (19-4, 14-3 CCC) won for the fifth-straight time, pulling into a second-place tie with Lewis-Clark State in the conference standings with five games left in the regular season.
Kam Osborn paced OIT with 17 points, while
Jamison Guerra recorded his fifth double-double of the year, scoring 12 points with 10 assists.
The Owls broke an 11-11 first half tie with a 12-0 run – as
Jay Elmore canned consecutive 3-pointers and
Jackson Cooper converted twice on the block.
The Geoducks (3-19, 2-15) did not waver, cutting the deficit to 32-28 on a Jayden Upshaw floater and the upset-minded club was within 38-30 at the break.
Osborn took over in the second half, scoring 14 points – including a pair of 3-pointers in a 17-4 OIT run that gave the hosts a 68-43 lead – with the Owls cruising the rest of the night.
Blake Jensen finished with 14 points and seven rebounds, Cooper had 13 points and nine boards,
Erik Fraser had 13 points and eight rebounds, with
Kody Bauman scoring 10 points with nine rebounds.
Elijah McLaughlin scored 12 for TESC, as the Geoducks finished 4-for-24 from 3-point range and were outrebounded by Tech, 57-31.
OIT closes out their 3-game homestand on Saturday, hosting Northwest University at 5 p.m.
