BELLEVUE, Wash. –
Kiana Jacobson scored her team-high ninth goal of the season, helping Oregon Tech clinch the No. 2 seed into the Cascade Conference Championships with a 3-0 victory over Northwest University at Bellevue College.
The Lady Owls (13-4-1, 9-3 CCC) ran their win streak to 5-in-a-row, equaling the second-highest win total in program history.
Tech used a 15-2 edge in shots, dominating possession on the neutral field after the Eagles (5-3-5, 4-3-5) had to move the game due to poor field conditions on their on-campus pitch.
Jacobson got the scoring started in the 19th minute, converting a pass from
Brianna Lewis – the league-leading ninth assist for Lewis.
In the second half, the Owls added a pair of insurance goals – as
Kayla Ness scored her sixth goal of the year in the 60th minute, while in the 71st minute,
Caneel Corpuz finished a pass from
Carly Moss.
OIT will play their CCC Tournament quarterfinal match-up next Sunday at 10 a.m. at Lithia and Driveway Fields in Medford.
