COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. –
Andrew Pasang broke the Oregon Tech men's soccer career record for goals scored and points with the second half of a brace, as the Hustlin' Owls ran their unbeaten streak to three with a 3-1 victory at Walla Walla University.
The senior opened the scoring with his 27th career goal, with the record-breaking tally giving the Owls (6-5-1, 3-3-1 CCC) an insurance goal, topping the mark set by
Brock Rideout. The second goal also surpassed Rideout's career points record of 74 – as Pasang heads into Sunday's match at Rocky Mountain with 75 points.
After a scoreless first half, Pasang got Tech on the board just four minutes with an unassisted goal, but the Wolves (1-5, 1-5) evened the score on an Eniola Smith goal off a Fabion Graham assist.
Less than a minute later, OIT scored the game-winner, as
Ben Bradshaw played a ball to
Anthony Aguiar-Casillas, who slotted home his first collegiate goal. Pasang capped the scoring with a dart off a pass from
Wolfgang Alvarado.
Tech dominated the run of play, recording a 23-6 edge in shots and recording eight corner kicks.
The Owls head next to Billings, Mont., for a Sunday showdown at Rocky Mountain.
