Kennedy Tull led five Oregon Tech players in double-figures with 21 points, as the Lady Owls gave new head coach
Joy Lease her first collegiate victory, a dominating 83-56 win at Danny Miles Court in the Lithia Classic.
The Lady Owls (1-0) forced 25 turnovers in the victory, scoring 38 points off the GFU miscues. Freshman

Tatum Schmerbach added four steals in the collegiate debut.
After spotting the Division III Bruins, who were playing the game as an exhibition, a 2-0 lead, Tech rattled off a 16-2 run – as Tull had three lay-ups and
Alexis Elquist converted twice on the block. The squad opened the second quarter on a 15-2 run, as Tull canned a triple,
Gabbie Gascon delivered a 3-point play, and
Elli Kent drained a pair of mid-range jumpers, as the hosts built a 39-14 lead.
GFU didn't waver, closing the half on a 15-0 rally, as Mia Skoro scored all 11 of her points in the run – including a 3-pointer at the buzzer to pull the Bruins within 39-29 at the break.
Tech put the game away in the third quarter – getting triples from Tull, Gascon and
Olivia Sprague – scoring the first 11 points of the half, regaining a 50-29 lead and cruised to the victory.
Tull tied a career-high with six assists, with Gascon tying career-highs with her 16 points, six rebounds and six assists. Sprague had 13 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals, Schmerbach scored 11 and Kent scored 10 off the bench. OIT held a 35-28 edge in rebounds, while holding Fox to 5-of-17 shooting from 3-point range.
Jenna Lacey had 10 points in the loss for the Bruins.
OIT travels to Ashland next week for the Raider Classic – meeting Simpson on Thursday and Hope International on Friday.
