Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Late Goals Salvage Key 2-2 Draw at Carroll College

HELENA, Mont. – Oregon Tech scored a pair of goals inside the final 15 minutes to salvage a key 2-2 men's soccer draw at Cascade Conference leading Carroll College.

The Hustlin' Owls (7-3-3, 5-2-2 CCC) trailed 2-0 inside the final 15 minutes, but rallied for the second time in three matches. In the 76th minute, Tech took advantage of a hand ball in the box by the Fighting Saints (6-2-3, 6-1-2), with Andrew Pasang driving home the 12-yard shot from the penalty spot to get the visitors on the board.

Three minutes later, Ryan Pearson played a long throw-in into the 6-yard-box, with a Carroll defender deflecting the ball past keeper Juan Muniz Navarrette to square the score.

OIT played the final 10 minutes a man down, but had a chance to steal three points – as a 2-on-1 breakaway inside the final 90 seconds was nullified by an offsides flag.

Carroll struck first midway through the opening half, as a long free kick to the back post was inadvertently flicked into the OIT goal by an Owls defender. The Saints tacked on a second goal in the 62nd minute, as Luke Rosenberger scored off a pass from Enrico Paparelli.

The physical game saw 22 fouls called, with Carroll holding a 14-9 edge in total shots and Tech recording a 4-3 edge in corner kicks. OIT keeper Ryan Solis had four saves to keep the Owls in the contest.

Tomorrow, the Hustlin' Owls close out the Montana portion of their road swing with a 1 p.m. date at the University of Providence.
