PORTLAND, OR – The No.1 Oregon Tech Lady Owls earned a doubleheader sweep over Warner-Pacific (1-9) on Friday. OIT exploded for 14 runs in the first game before plating nine more in the second to cap off a strong day at the plate.
Following the pair of victories, Tech HC Greg Stewart said: "We pitched great and played good defense again today. I am proud of the way we are swinging the bat and making good adjustments at the plate."
Game One (5 Innings):

In the opening game of a Friday doubleheader against the Knights, OIT continued their hot streak at the plate.
The Lady Owls totaled 14 runs on 14 hits to fly past the Lady Knights.
After a scoreless first two frames, Tech drew first blood in the 3rd.
Aubrie Businger singled to right to plate Maggie Buckholz before Jayce Seavert stepped up and launched a ball over the right-field fence to put her side up 4-0.
The home run for Seavert is her third in the last five games as she continues to light it up in the batter's box.
After scoring four in the third, Tech scored eight in the fourth as Seavert came through again, this time with a 3-RBI double.
In the 5th inning, Tech plated two more runs before the run-rule came into effect, ending game one after five innings.
Sarah Abramson picked up the win in the circle for Tech, tossing four scoreless innings, allowing no runs on two hits while walking three and striking out five.
Jenna Gorden would relieve Abramson of her duties in the 5th, throwing a scoreless frame while picking up a strikeout.
The Lady Owls were led at the plate by Seavert, who went 3-for-3 with six RBIs and three runs scored.

In game two of Friday's doubleheader, the Lady Owls plated a run in every single inning to pace themselves to a sweep of the Knights.
OIT scored nine runs on 11 hits, highlighted by another Jayce Seavert home run, her fourth in the last six games.
While Tech got it done on the offensive end, Mckenzie Staub held it down in the circle for her side.
Staub hurled six scoreless innings en route to her seventh victory of the season.
Staub allowed no runs on three hits with one walk and four strikeouts.
After six scoreless frames, Kacie Schmidt relieved Staub of her duties, throwing a scoreless frame on 14 pitches.
Tech was led at the plate by McKenna Armantrout, who went 3-for-5 with a run scored.
The Lady Owls will return to play tomorrow when they face Warner for two more games.
