SPRINGFIELD, Ore.- The Oregon Tech baseball team improved to 8-5 on the season with a 9-1 route of the Beacons of Bushnell (0-10) in the first-ever matchup with the first-year program Friday at the Hamlin Sports Complex.
The non-conference game was dominated by the Owls who scored a run in four of the first five innings, then put the game away with five runs in the 8
th to walk away with the 9-1 win.
Tech starter
Dylan Grogan (#23 Pictured) picked up his third straight win to start the season 3-0. Grogan went five innings giving up just three hits with five strikeouts.
Tech was led at the plate by
Brodie Marino as the catcher went 3-for-4 with RBI,
Dalton Daily added two-hits and three-RBI including his team-leading fifth homer, with
Alex Malcolm adding two-hits in the win.
The Owls will play Corban University in a non-conference game Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Eugene.
