Hustlin' Owls Suffer First Loss in CCC Play to #13 'Yotes
CALDWELL, ID. — The (R.V.) Oregon Tech Hustlin' Owls (15-6, 12-1) came up just short of earning a regular-season sweep over #13 The College of Idaho (17-3, 12-1) on Saturday evening. The Hustlin' Owls had an opportunity to tie the game in the final seconds, but the 'Yotes were able to hang on to move into a tie or first place atop the CCC Standings.

Looking to maintain their perfect conference record, Tech fell just short in a championship environment on Saturday in Caldwell.
It was a defensive stalemate at the Albertson Center as COI utilized a rowdy crowd to stifle Tech's high-powered offense.
In the first half each side shot 10-of-28, but it was the hosts who held a slim lead at 26-25.
In the second half, Tech was able to outshoot the 'Yotes but a lopsided foul count flustered Tech's attempt at knocking off the 13th-ranked team in the country.
Tech finished with one player in double figures, but had plenty of outstanding defensive efforts:
Matt Van Tassell: 14 points (game-high) on 5-of-8 shooting
The College of Idaho was led by Ricardo Time and Drew Wyman who scored 10 points apiece.
Tech will return to action next week when they host The Evergreen State College (2-14, 2-10) on Friday for Hawaiian night.
