PORTLAND, Ore.— Oregon Tech (3-1) saw their incredible run of shutouts come to a close in a hard-fought 1-0 loss to Lewis & Clark College (2-1-1). Although the Lady Owls dominated the entire match, their hard work was undone by an 86th minute goal from the Pioneers, which was their only shot of the afternoon.
"It was an unbelievable run of shutouts, very proud of what we accomplished with 12 consecutive shutouts continued from last season," said head coach
Casey Tate. "We started today's game well and just lost our way, We need to be better in front of goal, all credit to Lewis & Clark. We need to learn from this and have a good week of training to be ready for conference."

As we've seen very often in this early season, Tech came out firing, and dominated the pace of the first half.
The Lady Owls were on the front foot outshooting the Pioneers 11-0, giving themselves a plethora of chances to score. Unfortunately for Tech, their lingering problem of finishing left them without a first half goal to cap off their hard work.
The storyline was much of the same in the next period, as Tech continued to struggle to finish off their attacks.
Unfortunately for the Hustlin' Owls, the Pioneers made their one chance of the match count.
In the 86th minute, Becca McCullough went through the Tech defense, slotting an unassisted goal past Alex Burkhartzmeyer (Pictured) to grab the victory,
Tech would finish the match with an 18-1 advantage on shots, and a major advantage in possession but nothing to show for it.
With the loss, Tech wraps up their non-conference slate, and will head into Cascade Collegiate Conference action next week as they host Northwest University (1-3-1) on Friday, at 2:30pm on the Tech Soccer Field.
Note: Northwest drew Lewis & Clark College 1-1 when the two faced off on September 1st.
