In the Opening Game of the CCC Tournament, Tech started
Trask Telesmanich on the bump, while Corban started CCC Pitcher of the Year, Zack Simon.
Throughout the first 3 frames, each ace pitched extremely well, allowing no runs and limiting hits and walks.
In the top of the 4th, Corban drew first blood, plating an unearned run when Estenio Sede singled up the middle. The single scored Reese Fawley who reached base the at bat before, on a wild throw from
Dalton Daily.
After Corban pulled ahead, Telesmanich and Simon would continue to shove, shutting down each side until the 7th.
In the 7th, Simon got an out then walked
Kaleb Keelean which would end his day.
Simon exited the game throwing 6.1 innings, allowing no run on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 10.
Simon would hand the ball off to Braedyn Chong, who Tech quickly got after.
Micah Jio would single off of Chong to tie the game at 1, Keelean would score charging a run to Simon.
After failing to record an out, Chong would be dismissed for Jacob Bowser who was without a doubt the player of the game for the Warriors.
Bowser would limit the damage Tech did to Chong, but not before
Zack Stockton would single to tie the game. The run would be charged to Chong and Tech would end the 7th up 2-1.
After Telesmanich and Bowser threw a scoreless 8th, Corban would strike again in the 9th. The Warriors would plate a run with 2 outs on a passed ball to tie the game at 2 apiece. The run was unearned as Sede reached base on one of two errors committed in the frame by Oregon Tech.
After Tech went quiet in the bottom of the 9th, the game would head to extras, ending a brilliant start from Telesmanich.
Telesmanich would exit the game throwing 9 innings, allowing no earned runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 13.
Each team went quiet in the next 3 frames, which sent the game to a 13th inning tied at 2.
In the top of the 13th, Corban jumped on
Patrick Arman scoring 4 runs on 5 hits, highlighted by a Dakota Fingar home run. Oddly enough, the home run was wiped off as Fingar passed a base runner, which kept Corban from scoring 5 runs in the frame.
In the bottom of the 13th, Tech attempted to rally, plating 2 runs and even getting the tying run to 1st base.
Unfortunately, Alex Malcom flew out to left to halt the attempted rally by the Owls.
The winning pitcher for Corban was Bowser who threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits, while walking 3, hitting 3, and striking out 5.
Jacob Asa would come on to get the final out for Corban, earning the save.

Tech was led at the plate by
Dalton Daily who had 4 hits in 6 at-bats.
Tech will face #3 Lewis-Clark State (38-4) in a game starting around 3 pm. If Tech loses, their season is over. If they win, they would play tomorrow at a time TBD.
