Hustlin’ Owls Season Ends at Hands of #5 Lewis-Clark State

Lewiston, ID. – Oregon Tech (23-25) got blown out at the hands of #5 Lewis-Clark State (39-4), to end their season on Saturday. The 21-1 defeat typically would've ended after 5 innings, but in the postseason there is no mercy rule. The victory from LC-State sets up a CCC Title game between them and Corban tomorrow in Lewiston.

"This is never an easy day, but I can say that I am very proud the progress we have made as a program this year," said head coach Jacob Garsez. "This group of guys meshed together extremely well and bought in from day one. They have built a great foundation for future teams and they should be proud of that. Go Owls!"

LC jumped on Tech from the start as they've done to CCC teams many times this season.

The 5th-ranked Warriors scored a run in the first and second before blowing the game wide open in the 3rd, scoring 9 runs.

Tech was forced to use 6 pitchers, giving up 16 hits, 21 runs, 14 of which were earned, while walking 9, and striking out 6.

Errors continued to plague the Owls as they committed 10 on Saturday in just two games.

Jacob Miller picked up the loss for Tech throwing 2 and two thirds innings, allowing 11 runs, only 5 earned, and walking 3.

Eric Chavarria picked up the win for the Warriors. He threw 7 innings, allowing 1 run, none earned, while walking none, and striking out 7.

Tech was led at the plate by Kaleb Keelean and Alex Malcolm who had 2 hits apiece.

The loss for Tech ends their season, but they have much to be proud of, improving from 4-20 in 2020 to 23-25 this season.
