KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Sophomore
Brock Rideout scored a goal in each half to lead Oregon Tech (6-4, 4-3 CCC) to a 2-1 win at Northwest University Monday afternoon.
"The men started very well with an early goal," said head coach
Casey Tate. "It was good to see them respond after conceding. Some good performances especially like Brock getting two goals but will be another hard game tomorrow."
Rideout scored the game's first goal just seven minutes into the first stanza as he put back a deflected shot by Tech's
Jake Mitchell, into the back of the net.
The score did not change over the next 77 minutes, then in the span of 16 seconds, each team scored a goal.
Seito Gao tied the game at one, as he took a pass from Leon Bormann and finished in the OIT net with just 6:15 remaining in the game.
The game didn't stay tied very long as Rideout scored the game winner just 16 seconds later with 5:59 remaining; it was his fourth goal of the season.
For the match, Tech held a 15-6 lead in shots and a 6-2 advantage in shots on goal.
The two teams will finish the series and their season tomorrow at 3:30 pm in Kirkland.
