KIRKLAND, WA.— After scoring two goals in yesterday's 2-0 win over Northwest University, Hustlin' Owl
Brock Rideout added a nice cherry on the top of his weekend series as he headed in the game winner midway through the second overtime, giving Oregon Tech a 1-0 double-overtime win over Northwest Tuesday in both teams' Cascade Collegiate Conference finale.
Tech was turned away from scoring several times in regulation, as Northwest goal keeper Brandon Karberg tallied eight saves on the day.
Tech held a huge 25-9 advantage in shots and a 9-2 edge in shot on frame for the game.
Jake Mitchell, who set up the game winning header with a corner kick, led the offensive effort for Tech with seven shots in the game including two on goal. Rideout added five shots with three on frame, while
Dylan Nakagawa and
John Sarna had three shots each in the win.
Oregon Tech ends its season at 7-4 on the shortened year and 5-3 in CCC action. The Hustlin' Owls won their final four games of the season, the longest active streak in the CCC West Division.
