SALEM Ore.— Oregon Tech (3-1) came back from down double-digits to knockoff Corban (5-2) on Saturday. Tech shot 50% from the field in the 2nd half, en route to a signature road win. Garrett Albrecht hit the Game-Winning layup with 3 seconds left to cap the comeback.
Corban got off to a hot start in the first half, grabbing a 38-29 lead through the first 20 minutes.
The hosts shot 42% from 3 point-land which highlighted them grabbing the early advantage.
The Owls weren't able to hit a three in the 1st half, but managed to shoot 40% from the floor to stay in the game down 38-29. .
The second half, ironically was the exact opposite stat line.
Corban who shot well from three point rang in the 1st half, couldn't can a single 2nd half 3.
Tech took advantage of that 0 from the Warriors, shooting 50% in the 2nd half to storm back and claim the victory while only converting one three ball themselves
With the score knotted at 65, Albrecht drove to the cup and converted the layup to grab a 67-65 lead for tech with 3 seconds left, which was good enough to hold.
Matt Van Tassell scored a game-high 18 points for the Owls, on 7-13 shooting.
Kaison Faust added 14 points,
Garret Albrecht and
Kellen Gerig scored 13 each in the win.
