Buzzer Beater Lifts Warriors Past Owls

SALEM, Ore.— Corban's Taylor Anderson hit a buzzer-beating, three-quarter court shot to end the first half and then hit the game-winning baseline jumper with just 0.6 seconds left to lead the Warriors past Oregon Tech (2-1, 2-1 CCC) Friday at the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.

"Give Corban (5-1, 3-0 CCC) a lot of credit," said head coach Justin Parnell. "Their pressure really got to us in the first half. We adjusted well in the second half and gave ourselves a chance. We are looking forward to getting another chance tomorrow."

Anderson finished with a game high 23 points for the Warriors.

Tech shot just 36% in the first half, digging themselves a 13 point deficit at the half 45-32.

The Owls turned it around in the second half, shooting 54% while holding the Warriors to 41% as the Owls outscored Corban 44-32 in the stanza.

Tech took the lead 76-75 on a Kellen Gerig (#33 pictured) layup with just 21 seconds remaining before Anderson hit the game winner.

Tech was led in scoring by Harrison Steiger who had 15-points, followed by Kaison Faust with 14, Gerig with 12 and Scotty Burge's 11 points.

The Owls will look to bounce back tomorrow as they attempt to even up the two game series scheduled for a 2:00 pm start.
