Redding Calif. – Before the Oregon Tech volleyball team took to the floor at Simpson University Friday night, it was already a great day for first year Owl coaches as
Jacob Garsez (Baseball) and
Casey Tate (men's & women's soccer) had each already picked up their first head coaching wins at Oregon Tech. Volleyball head coach Ken Murczek could make it a day to remember as he was going for his first win in his first match as an OIT head coach. Murczek and his Lady Owls did not disappoint as they beat Simpson University 3 sets to 1 Friday night to cap off an historic day!
"I am thrilled that Coach Garsez, Coach Murczek, and Coach Tate were able to pick up their first victories today," said OIT athletic director
John Van Dyke. "I believe the future is bright for our baseball, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball teams. It will be fun to watch their respective programs develop over the next year or two. It is a great time to be a Hustlin' Owl!"
