LEWISTON, ID. – Oregon Tech upset #24 Lewis-Clark State College Sunday in game 1 by a score of 4-1, then settled for the split, losing game 2, 8-3 Sunday at Harris Field.

The Owls have their home opener next weekend at Kiger Stadium as they host The Master's University for a 4-game series beginning Friday at noon. Jacob Miller was brilliant coming in the second inning for
Trask Telesmanich, going 6 full innings giving up just one hit with three strikeouts as he picked up the win.
Tech added to its lead to 2-0 with a run in the 6
th,
Dalton Daily singled, stole second, took third on a wild pitch and scored on sac fly by
Mitchel Swanson.
Micah Jio drove in
Kaleb Keelean with an RBI single in the 8
th to increase Tech's lead to 3-0.
The Warriors added a run in the bottom of the frame on a home run to make it a 3-1 game headed into the 9
th.
Tech added a run without a hit in the 9
th as
Zeke Cruz walked, Corey Doyle pinch ran for Cruz, stealing 2
nd, and he then took 3
rd on a wild pitch and scored on a pass ball.
Josh Davis picked up the save on the mound for Tech, retiring LC State in order in the 9
th preserving the 4-1 win.
The Owls out-hit the Warriors 8-4 in the game with Keelean, Daily, and Jio each having 2-hits.
Game 2 LC State 8 Oregon Tech 3
The Warriors took a 1-0 lead with an unearned run in the 3
rd; they added 3-runs in the 4
th on 4-hits to take a 4-0 lead.
Jio hit a 2-out double in the 6
th, stole third and then home on a double-steal to make it a 4-1 game.
LCSC put the game away with a big 6
th inning, scoring 4-runs to go up 8-1.
A Daily homer in the 8
th cut the lead to 8-2 and Tech added one more run in the 9
th but ended up with the 8-3 loss.
Daily and Jio led the Owls with 2-hits each in the loss.
