LINCOLN Calif. – Oregon Tech stayed perfect on the year improving to 6-0 with a sweep on day two of the Warrior Softball Tournament. Day two started with a 2-hour delay, however when the games started up so did Tech by upsetting No. 17 ranked College of Idaho for the second day in row, this time by a 4-3 final. In the Night cap, Tech beat the host William Jessup 5-4 to go 4-0 on the weekend at Foskett Regional Park.
"I am really proud of these ladies for battling all weekend against two good teams and getting us off to a good start," said head coach
Greg Stewart. "It was a solid team effort up and down the roster and I look forward to seeing this team continue to gel and improve as the season progresses."

CI took the early lead with 2-runs on 2-hits in the top of the 3
rd.
The Owls quickly responded with 4-runs in the bottom of the frame on 4-hits highlighted by a 3-run bases clearing double by
Maggie Buckholz.
That would be all the run support
Sarah Abramson would need as the Tech Ace improved to 4-0 on the year giving up just 2-hits over 7-innings with 13 strikeouts.

Buckholz got the Owls off to a quick start with an RBI single as Tech scored twice in the first inning.
The Warriors answered with 3-runs in the bottom of the inning on a pair of doubles and a single of their own.
Tech added a run in the 2
nd off a
Jayce Seavert double and an RBI single by
McKenna Armantrout to tie the game at 3.
The Owls scored again in the 3
rd, this time it was a
Krista Ward single to start things off; she came in to score after a perfect sacrifice bunt by Buckholz moved her to second base, and Ward scored on a RBI single by
Olivia Lethlean (Pictured), giving the Owls a 4-3 lead.
Each team added 1-run in the 5
th and the games stayed 5-4 Oregon Tech.
Freshman
Mckenzie Staub went the distance to improve to 2-0 on the year striking out 7 over 7-full innings.
At the plate, Ward, Buckholz, Lethlean and Seavert each had 2-hits in the win.
Up next, the home opener for OIT as they host Northwest University for a pair of doubleheaders February 26 and 27 at John and Lois Stilwell Stadium starting at noon each day.
