ROCKLIN, Calif. – Last week Oregon Tech (1-1-0) knocked off William Jessup (2-2-0) in their home opener; today the Warriors repaid the favor with a 4-0 shutout of the Hustlin' Owls at the SJSC Soccer Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Despite the stats that indicate a very competitive ninety minutes, it was the Warriors who dominated the scoreboard with the 4-0 win. Each team had 11 shots in the game, with WJU holding a slight 9-7 advantage in shots on goal.
"We started the game pretty well with a good tempo and possession," said head coach
Casey Tate. "We have to be better in the final 1/3. But set pieces and transitions were the difference in the game. We have to learn and grow from this loss."
Up next, the Owls will travel to Redding. Calif. to play Simpson University (1-1) on Sunday, February 21
st at 2:00 pm at the Simpson Soccer Field.
