ASHLAND, Ore. — Oregon Tech (2-3) used a monster game from Garret Albrecht to blow past Park University Gilbert (Ariz.) in Game 1 of the Flagship Inn Classic on Friday afternoon at Lithia Motors Pavilion. The Hustlin' Owls jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 97-62 to the victory.

Oregon Tech came out of the gates on fire, storming out to a 12-4 lead which quickly ballooned to 26-9. With a comfortable lead, the Owls would continue to cruise as Albrecht was feasting at the post position.
 
Tech would shoot lights out for the rest of the first half, nearly lighting the nets on fire, making 19-of-26 field goals in the first 20-minutes.
 
The second half was much of the same as the Owls continued to feed Albrecht.
 
Albrecht would finish the game with 32 points on 15-17 shooting with 11 rebounds. Tying a career-high for the senior, Tech rode his incredible performance to a 97-62 victory.
 
After a 73% shooting-split in the first half, Tech shot 65% in the second half giving them an unreal total of 69% to finish the contest.
 
Along with Albrecht the Hustlin Owls had three players in double figures:
 
Keegan Shivers: 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting
Joey Potts: 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting
Jamison Guerra: 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting
 
Scotty Burge also had a solid afternoon for OIT leading the team in assists (6) and steals (2).
 
Tech will be back in action tomorrow when they face Montana Tech (4-2) in the second day of the SOU Flagship Inn Classic at 1:00 p.m.
