BILLINGS, Mont. – The No.24 Oregon Tech (7-2, 4-1 CCC) women's soccer scored early on the way to a 3-0 Cascade Collegiate Conference win on Saturday over Rocky Mountain College (5-3-2, 2-2-1 CCC).
"The staff and players should really be proud of the energy and effort they put in to making this such a successful weekend," said head coach
Casey Tate. "We were able to score multiple goals in back-to-back games which is big going forward. Very proud of everyone and have to work hard this week to get ready for another difficult opponent next weekend."
Tech took the early lead as
Carly Moss scored her first goal of the year in the 18
th minute.
The Owls made it a 2-0 lead just before the half as
Shalynai Naputi took a
Kiah Wetzell pass and scored in the 42
nd minute.
Oregon Tech scored a third goal; this time it was team's leading scorer
Mehana Ortiz scoring her 5
th of the season in the 66
th minute.
The Owls had a 12-11 edge in shots while both teams were credited with 7 shots on goal.
Oregon Tech returns home to play Carroll College on Friday at 2:30 PM.
