GREAT FALLS, Mont.- Oregon Tech's
Jake Mitchell put away a penalty kick in the 59
th minute to lift the Owls to a 1-0 road win Friday at the University of Providence on Argo Field.
"Today was a difficult game against a good providence team," said head coach
Casey Tate. "The team created a lot of chances, and we found a way to win. Proud of the effort and performance but we have another very difficult game tomorrow."
The win pushes Tech's record to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in conference action. UP falls to 1-4-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the CCC.
For Mitchell it was his fifth goal of the season and his team leading fourth game winning goal of the season.
The Hustlin Owls held a 6-3 edge in shots on goal with both teams attempting 12 shots for the game.
Oregon Tech had an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks for the game.
Tech will next travel to Billings, Montana for game tomorrow at Carroll College beginning at 12:00 pm Pacific.
