KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – After Oregon Tech took the first set, Evergreen State handled the final three, to down OIT 3-1 (22-25, 25-22, 25-19, and 25-17) Friday night at Danny Miles Court.
Chloee Hunt led the Geoducks with 13 kills hitting at a .286 clip as TESC hit .173 on the night while holding Oregon Tech to a .128 hitting percentage.
In the first set OIT opened up a 22-15 lead only to see the Geoducks cut that lead to 22-21 with six straight points. Back-to back
Nicole Reyes kills gave OIT the 25-22 set one win. Tech hit at .290 % in the first set led by Reyes with 6 kills.
Set two was back and forth battle, tied at 20, Evergreen then won five of the final seven points to tie the match at one set apiece.
The Owl opened the third set with a 5-1 advantage, however the Geoducks battled back to take an 11-10 lead before winning the set 25-19.
Set four was all Geoducks with Evergreen winning 25-17 to win the match 3-1.
Reyes led the Owls with 13 kills on 45 attempts.
Oregon Tech will host Northwest University at 5:00 pm Saturday for senior night as the Owls honor their seniors. Evergreen State will travel to Ashland, Oregon to play Southern Oregon University.
