KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. –  After falling 3-0 in their previous game against Northwest University (13-13, 11-9 CCC), Oregon Tech (15-15, 8-12 CCC) turned the tables Saturday evening on Senior Night at Danny Miles Court with a 3-1 (25-21, 25-20, 19-25, 25-20) victory.
 
Tech honored senior Hannah Carey and Jaime Toedtemeier (pictured above) for senior night.
 
"First of all, hats off to Northwest and their team and season," said OIT Head Coach Andrew Clifton. "They are a very good team and will compete in the CCC playoffs. I am very proud of the way our team competed tonight. Especially Jaime and Hannah. I am also very impressed with how both our middle blockers Melody Edwards and Ashley Ripplinger hit and blocked tonight. Lastly, without our passing and defense our offense would have not thrived. It was a great end for this group on a tough season. I am super proud of this entire group and I can't wait to get back to work and continue to grow."
 
The two teams were neck-and-neck through much of the first set before the Lady Owls pulled ahead to a five-point advantage and Kaylin Talonen scored the final kill.
 
An 8-1 run gave Tech the advantage that they needed to take the second set, powering past Northwest 25-20.
 
The Eagles came back in the third set, going 8-for-2 and attacking at .345, the highest in the game.
 
The Owls went 9-for-2 in the fourth set, gaining a strong advantage that they held through a 5-1 run from Northwest University to win the game.
 
Ashley Ripplinger and Melody Edwards scored 11 kills in the game, with Nicole Reyes earning another 10. Toedtemeier added 40 assists in the game. Aubrey Kievit had a game-high 24 digs, followed by Lindsey Sampson who made 10 and scored three of Tech's service aces.
 
Hannah Lord scored 15 kills for Northwest, with Tatiana Ensz adding another 14 from 38 attempts. Christina Hegarty made 16 digs for the Eagles and Courteney Carr added another 15 as well as 29 assists. Carr also scored two service aces.
 
Northwest held an 11-7 blocking edge in the game.
 
The Lady Owls end their season with a 15-15 record and 8-12 in Cascade Conference play.
