COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – The Lady Owls came back from a string of losses on Sunday afternoon to take down the Wolves of Walla Walla University with a 25-9, 25-17, 25-11 victory.
 
"It was nice to see us play loose today," said Head Coach Andrew Clifton. "I'm proud of the way that we served in the passed as well. We are all looking to build on this momentum next week."
 
Tech easily commanded the first set, attacking at .476 while Walla Walla zeroed out with six kills and errors.
 
The Wolves made their greatest effort in the second set, with a .083 attack average to the Owl's .130 but seven errors hurt their efforts and they were unable to capture the set.
 
Melody Edwards finished the game with seven kills, followed by Kaylin Talonen and Camryn Johnson with six each. Courtney Isom led with 15 assists and Amanda Powley grabbed another 12 and three service aces.
 
Aubrey Kievit scored three of Tech's 14 service aces and held a team high 14 digs. Ashley Ripplinger scored another four service aces for the team.
 
For Walla Walla, Caldora Blackburn, Jenn Bosler and Gabrielle Browning each made five kills and Krista Schafer finished with 11 assists. Browning scored one of three service aces.
 
Oregon Tech had an overall attack average at .377, with the Wolves trailing at .038. The Owls also held a 31-22 advantage in kills and 6-1 blocking advantage.
 
The Lady Owls will return home for their final two games, taking on Evergreen State on Friday for Honor Your Professor Night and Northwest University Saturday for Senior Night. Friday's game will take place at 7:00pm and Saturdays at 5:00pm, with both happening in Danny Miles Court.
