Lady Owls Pass Yotes

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Holding out through the second half, Oregon Tech took a 1-0 victory over College of Idaho on a first period goal from senior Salyna Blue on Saturday afternoon at the OIT Soccer Field.
 
The Lady Owls (7-2-3, 4-0-2 CCC) excelled both defensively and offensively, holding the Yotes (3-4-4, 2-3-2 CCC) to 7 shots while sending off 19 of their own, of which 8 were on target.
 
Goalkeeper Kylee Atkins of College of Idaho tallied 7 saves, only letting a single shot past, and Tech goalie Jenna Stiehr made 5 saves of her own.
 
Sophomore Amanda Seward, freshman Maddie Miller, and Blue each notched four shots for the Owls, with Salyna and Seward each getting 2-of-4 on target. Freshman Kyra Cambra and senior Aimee Bruner added two more shots each with Haley Janky notching one shot and the games only assist. 
 
For the Yotes, Madison Glascock led, shooting 2-of-2 on target.
 
The Lady Owls will hit the road next weekend – taking on Northwest Christian University in Eugene on Friday and Corban University in Salem on Saturday, with both games taking place at 3:00pm – before heading back to Klamath to face Multnomah and Warner Pacific University at the OIT Soccer Field at 12:00pm on Friday and Saturday, October 25 and 26 respectively.
