KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – No. 13 Eastern Oregon University (15-4, 10-1 CCC) started the second half of the Cascade Conference regular season with a 3-0 sweep (27-25, 25-15, 25-21) of Oregon Tech (9-10, 4-8 CCC) Friday night at Danny Miles Court.
Oregon Tech started tough, as the first set saw 11 ties including ties at 20, 22, 24 and 25 before the Mountaineers pulled out the 27-25 win.
EOU heated up in the second set winning it going away 25-15.
Set three started like set two, with the teams going back and forth. Tech took a 12-11 lead but then Eastern won seven of the next eight points to pull ahead 18-13. Back came the Owls, tying the set at 20 before EOU once again pulled away for the 25-21 set and match win.
"We did a lot of things right tonight but made unforced errors at crucial times," said Head Coach
Andrew Clifton. "Eastern played a solid game, but we need to finish those big plays at the end of games to stay on top."
EOU hit at a .266 clip while holding the Owls to .123 percent
Megan Bunn led EOU with a game high 14 kills with Kiley McMurtrey holding down the defense with a game high 20-digs to lead the Mountaineers.

Camryn Johnson had 10-kills each with
Faith Houck-Wylie adding 7 kills in the loss.
Lindsey Sampson had another nice night with 18 digs for OIT.
Up next, Oregon Tech will host No.16 College of Idaho at 5:00 pm while EOU travels to Ashland for a Top 15 match-up with #10 Southern Oregon. COI downed SOU 3-1 Friday night.
