KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – No. 16 College of Idaho survived upset minded Oregon Tech in a five set thriller 3-2 (25-21, 18-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-11) Saturday night at Danny Miles Court. The Yotes improve to 9-3 in Cascade Conference play and 14-6 overall with OIT falling to 4-9 in conference and 9-11 overall with the loss.

Andrew Clifton on his team's effort tonight, "We fought hard tonight, but came up short. There was a lot of good things that happened but we just couldn't get over the hump. If we continue to play at this level and clean a few things up, we will finish this season strong."
The first set was tied at 20 when the Yotes took control winning five of the last six points to win 25-21.
Tech turned the table in the second set building a six-point lead, then finishing strong for the 25-18 win.
The third set really was the game changer as the Yotes took a 7-1 lead, only to see the pesky Owls fight back to tie set at 22. Once again it was COI finishing strong taking three of the last five points to win 25-23.
Oregon Tech showed real fight, coming back to take the fourth set 25-20 to force the decisive final set.
In set five, the teams again went back and forth with the set tied at 7, 8, 10, and 11, before once again, the Yotes finished the match off by rolling off the final four points to win 15-11.
Each team struggled with the kill tonight as OIT just slightly out-hit COI .190% to .187% for the match.
Tech's
Chase Bohman had a game high 26 kills with
Camryn Johnson adding 15 kills for the Owls in the loss.
College of Idaho was led by Taylor Alexander as she had 17 kills in leading the Yotes to the win.
