KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. –Senior
Chase Bohman had a game high 20 Kills to pace Oregon Tech to a 3-0 (26-24, 25-17, 25-11) sweep of Northwest University Friday night at Danny Miles Court.
OIT improves to 6-11 in Cascade Conference play and 11-13 on the year while NU slips to 14-12 overall and 10-7 in CCC action.
"Tonight we put together a complete match," said Head Coach
Andrew Clifton. "Northwest had a good block and hit on the outside well.
Jaime Toedtemeier's set distribution was even and
Melody Edwards made an impact in the middle. We are excited for the win and will try and build on it tomorrow night."
Tech had a great attack going on the night with a total of 46 kills and only 19 errors leading to a kill percentage of .245 while holding Northwest to just 27 kills and a percentage of .062.
In the first set, Oregon Tech finished on a seven to two run to erase what was a 22-19 Northwest lead as the Owls won 26-24. The set was capped off with a huge
Nicole Reyes Kill off of one of Jamie Toedtemeier's game high 28 assist.
Set two was all OIT as the Owls jumped out to 13-5 lead, extended that to 20-10 and won 25-17.
The third and final set was once again all Owls, as they used two runs of 4-0 and finished with a 6-0 run to cap-off the 25-11 set and match win.
The Owls will wrap up the home schedule on Saturday with Senior Night against Evergreen State at 5:00 pm at Danny Miles Court.
