Oregon Tech Women’s Soccer Class of 2017 Looks to Graduate Six Players

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.-- The #1 Top Public School.  The #3 Regional College in the West.  The #35 ranked Engineering Program in the nation.  90% placement rate into well-paying careers or admission into graduate school.  On paper, Oregon Tech is clearly one of the best colleges in the United States.  This year, the Oregon Tech Women's Soccer program has demonstrated the truth behind these rankings and awards, and has continued to confirm the outstanding reputation the school has earned.

The Women's Soccer team will see six players move on towards their professional goals in 2017.  Molly Orr (Scappoose, Oregon) will be moving to the Kadena Air Force base in Okinawa, Japan, and working as a Dental Hygienist.  Daisha Acorda (Honokaa, Hawaii) will be pursuing her Masters of Science in Athletic Training at Pacific University after having worked in the Oregon Tech Athletic Training room as a Student Athletic Trainer.  Tarryn Miyamura (Mililani, Hawaii) will be pursuing her Masters in the Applied Psychological Science program at Pacific University.  Tori Roberts (Clackamas, Oregon) will be headed to the east coast to start her Vascular Technology externship at the University of North Carolina Hospitals.  Lexy Lowry (Portland, Oregon) will be headed to her Diagnostic Medical Sonography externship at Legacy Emmanuel Center/Randall's Children's Hospital in Portland.  And Ashlei Morgan (Meridian, Idaho) will begin her 6 month MECOP engineering internship in the manufacturing department at A-DEC in Newberg, Oregon.

This group of six players has a combined career GPA at Oregon Tech of 3.53, with a 3.68 this past winter term.  They also played in a combined 250+ matches while representing the Hustlin' Owls on the pitch.  They are all pursuing their careers in the engineering, medical and health, or technical fields, and all have been able to successfully balance the demands of being superb students with the demanding year-round rigors of being a varsity college athlete.

The mission of Oregon Tech is founded on pursuing a meaningful and successful career with a hands-on approach to learning.  This group of six individuals, along with all former Oregon Tech graduates, has truly exemplified what it means to be a Hustlin' Owl at Oregon Tech and should be extremely proud of their accomplishments.  Congratulations to all six on their bright and promising futures! GO OWLS!!!
