Paul Poetsch

AT OREGON TECH: Poetsch is in his 16th season as an assistant coach with the men's basketball program...served as the interim women's head coach in 2022-23, leading the team to a 21-9 record and a trip to the Cascade Conference tournament semifinals...will also assist the women's program in 2024-25...he helped the men's team to seven NAIA Division II national tournaments and two NAIA single-division national tournaments...was a part of the 2012 staff that won an NAIA title and the 2019 staff that reached the NAIA title game.

PRIOR TO OREGON TECH: Spent 24 years as a school administrator with the Klamath County School District...was head girls' basketball coach at Mazama High from 1985-88, earning Southern Oregon Conference Coach of the Year honors in 1987 and 1988...also coached the boys' team at Perrydale High, earning Casco League Coach of the Year honors in 1983 and 1984...a 1980 graduate of Western Oregon University, where he played two seasons, earning All-Evergreen Conference honors.

PERSONAL: He and his wife Fritz have three children (Garrett, Janae and Kailee) and are the proud grandparents of Logan, Hadlee, Sawyer, June, Walker, Max and Owen.
