Dre is from El Centro, CA. She attended Imperial High School in Imperial, CA. After high school, she went on to play softball at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona.  She received her Associates of General Studies from Yavapai College and currently completing her Bachelor of Science in Business Accounting.

Prior to Oregon Tech, at Yavapai College, in 2016 Sotelo was named ACCAC Second team and ACCAC Division 1 All-Region. In 2017, she was named ACCAC First team, ACCAC Division 1 first team All-American, NJCAA Division 1 First team All-Region, NFCA First Team All-American, and NFCA First Team All-Region. While at Yavapai, she played first base with a batting average of .567, 28 doubles, 20 home runs, and 70 RBIs her sophomore year while becoming Yavapai career all-time home run leader (39) and career highest batting average (.501)

At Oregon Tech, Dre earned 2019 First Team All-Conference and 2019 First Team NFCA All-American honors her senior year batting .392 with a team and conference leading 15 home runs and 64 RBI.  Dre also had a .724 slugging % and led the conference in walks with 44 and on base percentage with a .517%.  She also fielded an incredible .991 to earn the CCC Gold Glove award at first base. Unfortunately Dre’s junior season was cut short due to a knee injury when she was leading the team with a .417 batting average. She currently ranks in the top of many of the Oregon Tech Softball Records. Career records include a .398 career batting average (4th) and 18 HR’s (18th), single season records: 15 HR’s (5th), 64 RBI (5th), 131 TB (9th),  and 71 hits (17th) all in 2019.
