AS A COACH: Drops is in his fourth season as an assistant coach for the track program and third year assisting the cross country team...originally assisted the javelin throwers at the 2022 NAIA Championships, helping two athletes earn All-America honors...in 2023, helped two multi-event athletes and four javelin throwers qualify for the NAIA Championships - including national champion, Alex Conley...in 2024, coached Ally Odell to the second-best heptathlon score in school history, qualifying for the NAIA Championships, while in 2025, helped Eli Stevens post the third-best decathlon mark (6,668) in program history.

AT OREGON TECH: Drops won the 2018 NAIA outdoor national title in the javelin, earning five All-America honors and two Cascade Conference titles during his career and holds the CCC record in the javelin...was named 2021 CCC Athlete of the Year and USTFCCCA West Region Field Athlete of the Year...had career-best marks of 70.93 meters in the javelin, 4.95 meters in the pole vault and 6,438 points in the decathlon. 

PERSONAL: Originally from Coos Bay, Ore., Drops is a 2021 OIT graduate with a degree in communications.
