15-16 Appeared in 28 games, starting 1. Averaged 1.4 points per game and 1.7 rebounds per game. Had 8 points and 4 rebounds in a stellar performance against College of Idaho in the Cascade Conference Playoffs.

14-15 Appeared in 27 games, starting 3. Averaged 1.6 points per game and 2.7 rebounds per game. Had a season high 9 rebounds against UC Merced.

13-14 Appeared in 19 games as a freshman. Averaged 1.6 rebounds. Had a season high 6 points and 9 rebounds against William Jessup.

12-13 Used redshirt year 

Prior to Oregon Tech 
Averaged 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Ka Makani.  For his efforts Van Kirk was a first-team All-Big Island recipient in basketball, leading his team to the semifinals in 2012 in Division II postseason action.  Along with basketball, Van Kirk was also a First-Team All-State recipient in volleyball.  Tyler is the son of Brett Smith and Lisa Van Kirk.
