Played in 31 games, starting 25. Shot 45% from the field, 36% from the perimeter. Averaged 8.4 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game. Blocked 21 shots and recorded 30 steals. Recorded 3 double-doubles. 
14-15 Season
Used red shirt year.
13-14 Season
As a sophomore, played in 28 games, starting 27. Shot 45% from the field. Averaged 8.5 points per game, 3.6 rebounds and blocked a team high 28 shots. Scored 23 points and grabbed 5 rebounds against Northwest University. Blocked 4 shots against Vancouver Island University.
12-13 Season
As a true freshman played in all 30 games, starting 10. Shot 47% from the field and 43% from the perimeter. Averaged 6 points per game and 3 rebounds per game. Had 18 points, 3 assists and 4 rebounds against Warner Pacific. 
Prior to Oregon Tech
Averaged 14.7 points and 7.0 rebounds for the Crusaders in 2011 on his way to Trans Valley all-league honors. Derek is the son of Marvin Evans and Elodia Tate.
