KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech snapped a four-match losing streak in an emphatic fashion, recording their best hitting night in four seasons, cruising past Warner Pacific 25-16, 25-13, 25-17, inside Danny Miles Court.
The Lady Owls (8-5, 2-4 CCC) had a 47-20 edge in total kills, recording a stellar .403 attack percentage – their best mark since a 2023 road win at Walla Walla.
Steffini Goss led Tech with 12 kills on 16 swings, while
Alexa Gugliotta recorded a season-high nine kills.
Taryn Ramsay had a great all-around night, with four kills, 38 assists and five of OIT's 11 aces.
Three key runs, one in each set, gave the Owls commanding leads. Tech led 19-15 in the opening frame, but a pair of
Aleksen Thayer kills were instrumental in a 6-1 run to close out the set win.
An early 7-1 run in Set 2, as Goss and Gugilotta each posted two kills, gave OIT a 12-5 advantage, while back-to-back Ramsay aces extended the lead to 24-12. Tech scored 6-straight points in Set 3, as Gugliotta had two kills and
Alison Miller added a pair of aces, to give the hosts an insurmountable 20-10 lead.
Thayer finished with five kills and four blocks to lead the Owls defense, with OIT ending the match with 11 aces.
Naomi Johnson led the Knights (0-6, 0-5) with six kills and Josie Schultz finished with five kills.
Tech hits the road to the Valley, traveling for key dates at Corban and Bushnell.
