SALEM, Ore. – Oregon Tech and Corban combined for seven total shots, as the Hustlin' Owls and Warriors played to a 0-0 draw in a Cascade Conference men's soccer match-up at the Warrior Athletic Complex.
Both the Hustlin' Owls (4-4-7, 2-4-3 CCC) and Warriors remain in a tie for ninth in the CCC standings with three matches remaining.
Corban (5-4-3, 2-4-3) took all four of their shot attempts in the first 15 minutes of the match, with Tech keeper
Noah Harwood making a pair of stops, recording his sixth clean sheet of the season.
The Owls were handcuffed by the Warriors defense, attempting just three shots – all stopped by keeper Rylan Davidson. OIT nearly stole a victory in the final two minutes, as a through-ball found
Sammy Villalta on a run, but his low 20-yard drive was turned away by a diving Davidson.
The hosts had a 4-3 edge in both shots and corners, with the Warriors recording 10 of the 15 fouls in the contest.
Tech closes out the road portion of their schedule tomorrow night with a 7 p.m. date at Bushnell.
