GLENDALE, Ariz. – Oregon Tech scored goals in both halves, with
Harvey Bolland completing a clean sheet in a big 2-0 road victory at Arizona Christian.
The Hustlin' Owls (2-0-2) remained unbeaten on the season – limiting the Firestorm to just five shots, with Bolland making two saves in his second shutout of the year.
A physical match that featured 28 fouls and four cautions saw Tech control the run of play in the first half – narrowly missing a scoring chance in the 12th minute, as a 25-yard
Ben Bradshaw free kick to the back post clang off the iron.
Four minutes later, an outstanding move just outside the box by
Sylver Schweiger netted a goal. The senior made a run, eluding a defender to the right, then worked left – ripping a left-footed 20-yard dart into the left corner of the net.
While the OIT defense kept ACU (1-1-1) at bay, the Owls doubled their lead in the 58th minute.
Grayson Barker made a cross from just inside the right corner into the 6-yard box – finding the foot of
Moises Lopez Carillo to make it 2-0.
Tech finished the match with 10 shots in picking up their first win over the Firestorm.
OIT closes out their non-league slate on Sunday at Park Gilbert.
